Sports
Rathdown School has a long tradition of sporting excellence across a wide range of sports.
We have students successfully competing at local, provincial, national and international level.
Participation in sport is encouraged as part of each student’s personal development, both to maintain physical fitness and to recognise important qualities such as loyalty, commitment, the pursuit of excellence and a sense of fair play.
A sporting experience at Rathdown is central to the School’s curriculum for a number of reasons, not only to improve physical fitness and wellbeing but also to encourage participation and to provide students with a sport for life.
To support this aim our Sports Coordinator manages all fixtures and coordinates the Sports staff and programme for Rathdown School.
