Join Our Junior School

The main entry point for children in the Junior School is KG2 (Junior Infants)

Should you wish your son or daughter to join us in any of the year groups in the Junior School, or at other times of the year, this may also be feasible depending on availability.

Junior School students automatically have a place in the Senior School.

Junior School Registration

Step 1: 

Simply complete our Declaration of Interest Form and return by post or email

Step 2:

We make formal offers for the Junior School in the year prior to entry.

For Parents / Guardians accepting a place in our junior school a non-refundable and non-transferable sum of €1,500 is payable upon accepting an offer this amount will then be applied against your child’s first year fee in the junior school.

PLEASE NOTE PAYMENTS WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED BY CASH OR CHEQUE.  Bank details can be found here. 

For Parents / Guardians receiving an offer of a place in our pre-school €250 is payable upon accepting the offer.

Due to the pre-school being a feeder school for our junior school children who are eligible to enter Pre-School and whose parents intend them to progress to Rathdown Junior School will be given priority in our admissions process. This intent is given through a payment of a fee in advance. 
Parents whose children who are not progressing into Rathdown Junior School can apply for the preschool by sending an application form to our Registrar and will be placed on a waiting list. If a space is available once all prioritised offers are made then we may make offers to children on the waiting list.
