TY Habitat Trip to Romania

ICT

In today’s world where young people communicate through digital means, Rathdown School recognise the need to push the boundaries of ICT learning.  Rathdown is the first school in Ireland to have introduced iPad mobile learning devices into the classroom.  Our aim is to integrate these new technologies into the class environment and foster educational innovation within Rathdown School and amongst students.

Rathdown School has two computer laboratories with 25 computers in each giving a student to computer ratio of 2.8: 1.  The School encourages the use of the virtual learning environment based on ‘Moodle’ which allows teachers to create effective online learning sites.
