TY Habitat Trip to Romania

Transition Year at Rathdown School

Transition Year is a one-year programme which provides a bridge enabling students to make the transition to Senior Cycle more successfully. This year offers a different agenda to the other five examination-driven years of secondary school. More than in any other year, it is the level of input from each pupil that is significant.

It is the development of independent learning, the commitment with which the wide-ranging activities are engaged and the support and encouragement of parents/guardians which leads to success. Transition Year aims to provide a broad programme that will introduce students to new and interesting subjects and allow them to develop new life skills.
