Second Hand Uniform Sale and Book Exchange (Junior School Books only)
Dear Parents,
The annual second hand uniform sale, which is organised by the PTA, will be taking place this year on Wednesday 30th May between 9.15 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. in the Senior School sports Pavilion.
If you would like to sell uniform items please consider the following;
- Only CASH can be accepted on the day
- No socks or kilts will be accepted
- All items should be clean and in perfect condition
- Blue blouses will not be sold but we will accept donations of clean blouses in good condition. They will be made freely available on the day
- All items should be tagged clearly with your daughter’s name, class, item description and desired price. No sticky labels please. Information should be pinned to each garment and each garment should be on a hanger.
- Attached please find a form which should record all the items you wish to sell. Please indicate on the form whether you would like to sell the items or donate them to the PTA Discretionary Fund and if you are willing to accept a ‘best offer’ for the item. Also enclosed is a new uniform price list from Uniformity www.uniformity.ie which will help you with pricing. Prices should not exceed 50% of the item new.
All items for sale may be dropped off between 12.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday 29thMay. No items will be accepted on day of sale. A donation of ten percent on every item sold will be given to the PTA Discretionary Fund. Unsold items and payments may be collected on Wednesday 30th May between 2.30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Any items not collected by 8thJune will be disposed of.
All items are submitted at the owners risk and neither the PTA nor Rathdown School will take responsibility for loss or damage. Garments are bought as seen.

A Note from the PTA 2011-2012
This year Matthew Orpin (parent of Junior School) has kindly agreed to be Chairperson of the PTA assisted by Nola Lambert(parent of Senior School).
The PTA meet currently every month and are responsible / assist with a number of events which they organise throughout the school year. An example of which are Debs Reception, Second hand uniform sale, Bar- B-Q for staff/parents, Careers night for 4th/5th/6th years, and most recently the Christmas Fair. A Quiz night is in the process of being organised for next February as well as assistance to other school events as required.
If you have something which you would like to raise with the PTA please e-mail the secretary directly at rathdown.pta@gmail.com or you can raise an issue with your PTA rep for your daughter’s year.
