Kinder Classes present a wonderful opportunity for young children, beginning at the age of 3, to experience music before formally taking up a specific instrument. The classes are taught by a trained Kodaly teacher and based on the teachings of the late Hungarian composer Zoltan Kodaly -- who developed a technique for teaching children early aural, ear training and listening skills to provide them with a more solid foundation for their future musical endeavours. The Wednesday and Saturday classes include clapping, singing, movement, aural skills and learning to read music through tonic solfa notation.
