Welcome to the Rathdown Junior School web pages!

Our Junior School is a vibrant, colourful, safe and happy place of learning. Everyone who has a role to play in the daily life of the Junior School works very enthusiastically to ensure that every pupil will enter into and benefit from an environment which is welcoming and friendly and conducive to learning. We have an exciting and extensive curriculum, catering to the talents and abilities of each child, and first-class facilities and equipment to help implement this curriculum.

We hope you enjoy reading about our Junior School and that you get a good feel for the School, its pupils and the work we do here. As well as reading through the pages dedicated to the Rathdown Junior School, I recommend you also take a look at the "News and Events" section of the Rathdown website. Scrolling back through past news will give you a good sense of our community and should help you make a decision on whether your daughter will be happy here.  Rathdown has a strong and exciting vision for its future and has an ambitious development plan to realise that vision. Another aspect of our commitment to keep Rathdown in the forefront of excellence in education is our Annual Fund. Information on both our Master Plan and Annual Fund can also be found here on the website.

We believe time spent in Rathdown Junior School to be an enjoyable journey for girls as they gain confidence, knowledge and skills and develop their own unique potential.

I hope to meet you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Avril Lamplugh
Junior School Principal
