Rathdown students engage in a wide range of extracurricular pursuits at the Senior School that simultaneously enhance their educational experience, social skill set and interest base. The current activities on offer includes:

Students are also encouraged to be involved in some community or personal development activities wherever possible. Several Rathdown students have tackled bronze, silver and even gold level An Gaisce (www.gaisce.ie) and many participate in World Challenge (www.world-challenge.co.uk) each year. Others participate in such activities as Model United Nations, Young Social Innovators, Comhairle na nOg, Amnesty International and S.U.C.H. (Students Unite for Children's Health).
